Why are so many of them so violent?

*Edit:
I know a horse can put up a fight if it needs too(duh, they're big animals)
It just seems out of place to me that, if somebody wants to make a violent animal comic, why choose horses? And not like, crocodiles? Their bites are much more powerful than a horse's, don't cha know ;)
