Why are so many of them so violent?

*Edit:
I know a horse can put up a fight if it needs too(duh, they're big animals)
It just seems out of place to me that, if somebody wants to make a violent animal comic, why choose horses? And not like, crocodiles? Their bites are much more powerful than a horse's, don't cha know

no idea. But there's hardly any comic WITHOUT violence, I guess horse comics are no different.

There are other ones that show horse like, getting their necks ripped open, but they always seem to elude me when I go looking for them.

Comic's often have violence, but horses? Horses? Since when were those animals were seen as violent?
I understand dog comic violence, but with horses, it's just odd.

horses and many ungulate can be very violent, but the number of DA comics i read is less than 5 so it doesn´t matters in the slightest for me.

i quite like violence in fiction when it has sense. otherwise is just dumb. not disturbing, just dumb.

Horses can be violent, there's actually a such thing as horse fighting, like dog fighting/cock fighting etc. I forget what country it takes place in though.

But most animal comics I've seen on dA are pretty lame and overly violent for no reason.
